Eric Reeves is a staple in the seams of Harmonious Discord Recordings history. A label cofounder and half of production duo Grey (alongside PointBender) that released notable music in the early 2000’s with features on Guidance Recordings, Fair Park Recordings, and Blunted Funk. Since the duo ceased efforts, Eric has crafted his unique sound that features undertones of progressive rock, crystal clean production, and a knack for syncopated basslines. In early 2017, Eric’s hibernation reached a close as he crafted a collection of original productions slated as a full album later in 2018. In addition, he supported remix duty’s for Pablo del Monte on the label’s 50th release. One stand out production in the forthcoming album was a warehouse-relevant, steamy techno machine. Vessel wraps together modern synth design, spacial placement, and percussive maturity. Vessel is a perfect taste of the onslaught of new productions coming your way in 2018.
On remix duties is New York resident and master of subtle brilliance Menahan Project. Dub laden and packed with urban rumble this permutation offers a slow burn with character. Texas’s own Denied Music head Daniel Allen returns to wrap our project, increasing the energy and moving to a percussion focus. Daniel teases out carefully crafted accents, rich synth sweeps, and ever more percussive layers. Exploring different territory than the original Allen’s contribution helps build into any abstract territory you wish to venture.
